Alexander Oxford, from Postural Facilitation Massage, says that combining an area of interest, hobby or passion with your skills as a health professional, will help you deliver great experiences for your clients.
Think about what your ideal clients need, and aim to meet and exceed that need. Ask yourself, “how could I help these clients in new and better ways to allow them to do the things they love without pain or restriction?”
Look to other industries to see how they are creating personalised, engaging and memorable experiences. For example, the recent surge in old fashioned barber shops is meeting a need for escapism, where clients are taken to a new reality with the aesthetics and entertainment on offer.
How could you provide a wow experience like this, in a way that’s aligned with your ideal client and what they love to do?
Clinic Mastery Activity #2 – Create Your Difference
- Identify your ideal client – Write down everything about them. Who are they, what do they do, what are their problems, where do they hang out and socialise, what do they want, what are their tastes and styles, who do they follow on social media, what do they read/watch… write as much down as possible. This will help you refine where you do your marketing and how you do it so that you attract your ideal client to provide them with the ideal experience.
- What will set you apart? Give 5 responses to each of the following questions:
a. What could I promise to deliver better than anybody else?
i. E.g. “I will write a report to the doctor after each visit”, “I will follow up every new patient with a phone call on the day after their appointment”
b. How will my clients remember their experience with me.
i. E.g. “My clients will rave about the herbal tea served”
