Trendelenburg Sign | Hip Abductor Weakness Assessment | Hip OA<\/h2>\nThe Trendelenburg Sign is often seen in patients with hip abductor weakness like it is often the case in hip osteoarthritis. For this reason, Youdas et al. (2010) evaluated the Trendelenburg Signs validity to diagnose hip osteoarthritis. They found a sensitivity of 55% and a specificity of 70%. For this reason, the authors conclude that based on validity information from the present study, the Trendelenburg test(P-O-F angle) is not useful in identifying subjects in the early stages of hip joint OA.\n
