Originally, it was used as a screening tool.\nOriginally, the sign was used as a screening tool to assess for ischial bursitis, neoplasm and abcess.\n<div class=\"embed-container\">\n\n[embed]https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=eKQoFYy3ypE[\/embed]\n\n<\/div>\nTo perform this test, first, perform a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.physiotutors.com\/wiki\/straight-leg-raise-test\/\">straight leg raise<\/a>.
