Various studies have identified values of sensitivity ranging from 84.6 to 100% (see references below). The contents of the Ottawa knee rules are similar to those of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.physiotutors.com\/wiki\/ottawa-ankle-rules\/\">Ottawa ankle rules<\/a> we have covered in another video\r\n<div class=\"embed-container\">\r\n\r\n[embed]https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=ku_E2aneq-M[\/embed]\r\n\r\n<\/div>\r\n<strong>Execution:<\/strong>\r\n\r\nAccording to the protocol X-Rays should be done if any of the following criteria apply:\r\n<ol>\r\n \t<li>The patient is 55 or older<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Isolated pain or tenderness over the patella<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Pain or tenderness at the head of the fibula<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Knee flexion &lt; 90 degrees<\/li>\r\n \t<li>The Patient is not able to walk four consecutive steps immediately and in the emergency department.
