Each question is graded from 0 to 4 on a 5-point Likert scale (none, mild, moderate, severe, and extreme problems).<\/span>\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n<h3>Validity and Reliability<\/h3>\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When the five FAOS subscales were compared to the Karlsson score, there were moderate correlations (rs = 0.58 to 0.67) and weak correlations (rs = 0.02-0.13) and years of follow-up (rs = 0.17\u20130.22), respectively.\u00a0<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The five subscales\u2014Pain, Symptoms, Activities of Daily Living, Sport and Recreation Function, and Foot- and Ankle-Related Quality of Life\u2014had Cronbach's alphas of 0.94, 0.88, 0.97, 0.94, and 0.92, respectively, showing high internal consistency.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The five subscales of Pain, Symptoms, Activities of Daily Living, Sport and Recreation Function, and Foot and Ankle Related Quality of Life each had a Spearman's correlation coefficient of 0.96, 0.89, 0.85, 0.92, and 0.92 for the scores obtained from the first and second administration, respectively. There were no discernible differences in the mean scores (p more than 0.5). The five subscales\u2014Pain, Symptoms, Activities of Daily Living, Sport and Recreation Function, and Foot- and Ankle-Related Quality of Life\u2014had intraclass correlation coefficients (ICC) of 0.78, 0.86, 0.70, 0.85, and 0.92, respectively (<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/11642530\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Roos et al. 2001<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">).<\/span>\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n<h3>Scoring and Interpretation<\/h3>\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Each subscale's score is derived by adding up all of the subscale's individual scores and dividing the result by the subscale's maximum score. The normalized score is converted to a scale of 0 to 100, with 100 denoting no problems and 0 denoting severe problems.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The nearest box is picked if a mark is outside of a box. If two boxes are checked, the one that showed the most serious issues is chosen. Missing data are considered as such; The average value for that subscale is used to replace one or two missing data.
